You may know her better as Buffy Summers from the cult-hit Buffy the Vampire Slayer. For some, she is much more than a vampire slaying blonde. For me, Buffy was an escape from day-to-life. Every Tuesday night (from 4th grade on), I’d stop everything and tune into the show. She became the ultimate role model for me and millions of others. Here was this young girl, forced to live in the shadows, hiding her predestined secret from her mother, her fellow classmates, and her loves. While living an outwardly normal life in the day, she was forced to live another life at night. I followed her through all the stages of my young life. She was a new gay generations ultimate icon. Young, powerful, and in charge of her life, despite what others thought of her.

But enough about Buffy, it’s all about our girl Sarah Michelle Gellar today. This lovely mother turns 33 today. You may remember that Gellar started off her career in All My Children as Kendall Hart the long-lost daughter of Susan Lucci. The role scored her a Daytime Emmy. After the success of Buffy she stared in a slew of teen movies like I know What You Did Last Summer, Simply Irresistible, Scream 2, Cruel Intentions, and as Daphne in the Scooby Doo films. Sarah’s highest grossing film was the Japanese horror flick The Grudge. While her career has slowed down in recent years, so she can devote time to her daughter, Charlotte Grace Prinze, with Freddy Prinze Jr., we know Sarah will be back on the screen in no time.

We agree with the majority on this one!!

5,000 moms were polled at BabyCenter.com on their most and least favorite celebrity baby names, and Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr.’s 5-month old, Charlotte Grace, won most favorite with 49% of the vote!!

A far second place favorite was Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck’s Seraphina Rose Elizabeth at 12%, and Nicole Richie and Joel Madden’s Sparrow James Midnight was christened the least popular.

We don’t think Sparrow is as bad as some other celebrity baby names, but Charlotte Grace really is a beautiful. And NORMAL!!

Delayed, delayed and delayed again, the Sarah Michelle Gellar-starring Possession is finally making its way to DVD on March 9 from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.

Synopsis: Newlyweds Jess (Gellar) and Ryan (Landes) seem to have it all until a car accident renders both Ryan and his brother Roman (Pace) comatose. But things spin even more eerily out of control when Roman wakes up and tries to convince Jess that he is her husband. Beside herself with fear and grief, Jess grapples with the one question: could the man before her actually be the man she lost…or does something far more sinister await her in his arms?

Becoming the proud mother of a baby daughter named Charlotte Grace Prinze after giving birth in mid-September, Sarah Michelle Gellar is loving every minute of her newfound parental duties.

Talking with People magazine about the pestering she received prior to getting pregnant, the “Buffy” babe said,

“I always say, the minute you start dating someone, people ask, ‘When are you getting engaged?’ And the minute you get engaged, they ask, ‘When are you getting married?’ And then the minute you get married, they ask, ‘When are you having a baby?’ ”

Continuing on, Gellar, who’s married to actor Freddie Prinze Jr., tells, “Becoming a parent is the most selfless act, and you need to be at a point in your life where you can give up anything and everything for a child. I don’t know if you know how to that when you’re in your 20s.”

Agreeing with his wife, Freddie adds, “I’m so happy we didn’t have kids in our 20s – I just didn’t know a thing. You have so much more patience in your 30s, and I feel like I appreciate this so much more.”

Of being totally amazed at her little bundle of joy, Sarah then said, “Every day I look at her and I am in awe.”

People Magazine has the first pics of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s new baby, Charlotte Grace Prinze.

The little peanut was born on Sept. 19, but as Sarah tells People, that date was bumped up seven days! “I went into labor at the gym! I didn’t really believe it. I just felt a little nauseous, and my trainer said to me, ‘Um, isn’t your baby coming next week? Maybe it’s time now?’ I said, ‘Oh no, I doubt it…’”

But it was smooth sailing from there. “Later that night, she was like, ‘OK, I think I might be in labor, but you should get some more sleep,’” Freddie Prinze Jr., says. “She was very calm, very centered, very prepared. I’m telling you, this girl is like Gandhi. It was like, three pushes and the baby was out.”
