Dutifully tending to her little girl’s needs, Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted arriving for a doctor’s appointment in Brentwood, California on Sunday afternoon (December 6).

Joined by a nanny, the “Buffy” babe made sure to keep daughter Charlotte Grace Prinze hidden underneath pink blankets before passing by paparazzi and inside for the medical checkup.

Having given birth to Charlotte in mid-September, Gellar previously said of parenthood, “Becoming a parent is the most selfless act, and you need to be at a point in your life where you can give up anything and everything for a child. I don’t know if you know how to that when you’re in your 20s.”

Agreeing with his wife, Sarah’s actor hubby Freddie Prinze Jr added, “I’m so happy we didn’t have kids in our 20s – I just didn’t know a thing. You have so much more patience in your 30s, and I feel like I appreciate this so much more.”

The story centers on Veronika, a woman in her mid twenties who appears to have everything : good looks, good job and a great life ahead of her. Yet she decides to end her own life. She is unsuccessful and awakens in a mental hospital where she learns that she a short time to live. However in the hospital she meets people who are only ’insane’ because they don’t always follow society’s rules. With little left to lose, Veronika embarks on a journey on which she frees herself to experience relationships and emotions and ultimately discovers what it means to live.

People Magazine has the first pics of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s new baby, Charlotte Grace Prinze.

The little peanut was born on Sept. 19, but as Sarah tells People, that date was bumped up seven days! “I went into labor at the gym! I didn’t really believe it. I just felt a little nauseous, and my trainer said to me, ‘Um, isn’t your baby coming next week? Maybe it’s time now?’ I said, ‘Oh no, I doubt it…’”

But it was smooth sailing from there. “Later that night, she was like, ‘OK, I think I might be in labor, but you should get some more sleep,’” Freddie Prinze Jr., says. “She was very calm, very centered, very prepared. I’m telling you, this girl is like Gandhi. It was like, three pushes and the baby was out.”
